Acton Finishing - print header
Dryers

These equipments are used to dry the wet components that come out of the Vibratory Finishing Machine / Centrifugal High Energy Finishing Machine thus preventing the components from corrosion. Suitable drying media is used to absorb the moisture from the components

These are broadly classified into three types

  • Vibratory Dryers
  • Rotary Dryers
  • Drying Ovens

Vibratory Dryers

The UNIQUE ELLIPTICAL SHAPE VIBRATORY BOWL DRYING MACHINE gives extra drying area with less floor space than conventional dryers. Simple to operate, these highly efficient machines are constructed with a component separation/discharge facility.

The work chamber is constructed from a metal spinning and built up to the required depth to give an extremely robust unit

Suitable for IN LINE or BATCH work the machine can be used for DRYING and/or FINE POLISHING using Maizorb as a media. The Acton Self Clean Dust Extractor can be added as a factory fitted extra.

Bowl type vibratory dryers are available in three standard sizes to enhance your finishing needs.

Vibratory Drier - CCVD Series

The CCVD series Vibratory dryer is a revolutionary product where the parts can be continuously fed and discharged. It is best suited for online processing. Wet components that need to be dried are fed at regular intervals into the work bowl via an opening provided on top of the lid. The moisture from the components is absorbed by the heated maize grits and made to then travel on the ramp of the bowl. The dried components are collected from the outlet in a bin and media is retained in the bowl. This dryer ensures minimum operator intervention in the processes, thereby ensuring consistency. Equipments are made in both Stainless Steel construction and Painted versions.

Features:

  • Polyurethane Coated Bowl
  • Powerful vibratory motor ensures a complete mixing of components and drying media
  • Spiral section ensures high rate of separation of components from media
  • Thermal insulation provided for added safety
  • Outlet for media ensures easy replacement of the drying media
  • Heating system provided for efficient drying
  • Driers available on single / three phase versions
  • Mounted on castor wheels for ease of movement

Rotary Dryer

This equipment is used to dry the wet components that come out of the Vibratory Finishing Machine/Centrifugal High Energy Finishing Machine thus preventing the components from rusting. Suitable drying media is used to absorb the moisture from the components.

Features

  • Rotary barrel mechanism
  • Re-circulation of drying media with continuous output of parts
  • Excellent to dry components for rust prevention
  • Low power consumption
  • Maintenance free

Drying Ovens

The Conveyorised Electrically Heated Drying Oven which is ideally suited for the larger components.

The standard work chamber length of 2 metres and a normal operating temperature of 60-80 degrees centigrade gives ample time for the components to be dried.

With an easy to use control panel mounted on the side of the machine operation could not be simpler.

Technical Features:

  • Heating via three banks of elements with each bank rated at 6 kw.
  • Heat for drying is force convected by an air circulating fan motor.
  • Maximum service temperature 100°C (212° F)
  • Normal operating temperature 60° - 80°C (140°-176°F)
  • Standard work chamber length 2000 mm
  • Standard conveyor belt length 3000 mm
  • Conveyor belt specification as per customer requirements.
